Marilyn Monroe in a bikini by Eve Arnold

A beautiful image of Marilyn in a white bikini personally selected by pioneering photographer, Eve Arnold, for inclusion in her popular book, 'Marilyn Monroe: An Appreciation'.

Eve worked with Marilyn on six separate occasions, including her famous assignment as Marilyn's on-set photographer during the production of 'The Misfits' (1960). 

The photographer's agency credit and reproduction notes appear on the reverse, including a detailed typographic description in which Marilyn is described as "a woman with imperfections and problems and a daunting public image to sustain, but who also possessed of humour".

The image is described as 'photo 57 -studio 1960' and remains in very good condition.
