    Product Description

    De Dienes Photoshoot, 1945

This enchanting early photo of a 19-year-old Marilyn is a genuine gelatin-silver print from 1945. It measures 13-1/8 x 10-7/8 inches (33.4 x 27.6cm) and features the artist's stamp verso.

When this photo was taken, Marilyn, then Norma Jeane, was on the books of Emile Snively's Blue Book Model Agency. De Dienes contacted the agency for a model who would pose nude. Snively recommended her latest signing, and De Dienes soon hit the road with the most delightful young woman he had ever seen. As for the nude session, Norma Jeane had other ideas!

De Dienes recalls his first meeting with Marilyn: ''The impact Norma Jeane had on me was tremendous. As minutes passed, I fell more and more in love... I had the immediate feeling she was something special.'

    Condition Report:

Paper is mildly undulated around edges: two small handling crimps 2" below and centre of the upper margin.
