    A beautiful and elegant archival pigment print on wove paper of Marilyn smiling in a black Dior dress. It has been signed and numbered, 25/25, by the artist on the front in red crayon. He has also included the inscription 'Marilyn'. Additionally, the artist has included his signature and copyright (2012), verso, in red crayon, along with his official stamp.

    This photograph by Bert Stern is from his most iconic series "The Last Sitting", which was taken in 1962 for Vogue. The photo shoot produced a collection of 2,500 photographs of Marilyn Monroe, shot over three days at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles, only six weeks before Marilyn Monroe's death.

    Bert Stern (1929-2013) grew up in Brooklyn, New York. He dropped out of school at the age of 16 and went on to become the art director for Mayfair Magazine. He photographed many other iconic female celebrities, including Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

    This stunning limited edition print is presented in fine condition and was the final print produced in this limited edition.
