A selection of Spanish-style coins plus jade and wooden beads from Rob Marshall’s fantasy swashbuckler Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. During the film’s dramatic confrontation over the chest believed to hold the silver chalices needed for the Profane Ritual, these coins can be seen strewn across the ship’s floor as Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) battle for control.

This group comprises three distinct coin types: one size of gold-coloured coin and two sizes of silver-coloured coin. The silver pieces bear engraved motifs reminiscent of Spanish colonial reales, while the gold pieces carry designs echoing historical Spanish escudos, enhancing their period-style authenticity on screen. 

“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” follows Captain Jack Sparrow as he is swept into a race to find the legendary Fountain of Youth, crossing paths with his enigmatic former lover Angelica and the ruthless pirate Blackbeard.  As Jack is forced aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, he becomes entangled in a three-way contest between Blackbeard, Barbossa—now a privateer in service to the British Crown—and the Spanish, all vying for the Fountain’s power.

Highlights include Jack’s chaotic escape through London, the eerie mermaid attack at Whitecap Bay, and the suspenseful capture of the mermaid Syrena, whose tear is vital to the Fountain’s ritual.  The film’s climactic showdown at the Fountain of Youth delivers swordfights, shifting alliances, and a morally twisted choice involving two enchanted chalices, while Jack and Angelica’s love‑hate dynamic adds a playful emotional undercurrent to the high‑seas adventure.
