The Spectacular Spider Man Vol. 1 Comic Book Production Art Display - 1996
A striking and unique handcrafted display concept, showcasing very rare comic-book print separations and the comic to which it corresponds.
This display features a Marvel Comics ‘The Spectacular Spider-Man Vol.1- 236’ from July, 1996. It showcases vibrant artwork by Sal Buscema, John Stanisci, Denis Calero and Atomic Paintbrush integrated into a set of 4-colour multi-layered acetate proofs.
Acetate film separations used in the comic book printing process are routinely destroyed after the first production run to prevent piracy. This is therefore a very rare opportunity to own a set of these separations presented in a stunning framed display.
This beautiful one-of-a-kind display piece is presented in a metallic frame finished in iconic ‘Marvel Red’. The comic book and separations are laid against black felt and protected behind UV-protected museum-quality glass. The proofs measure 7.5 x 12.5 inches and are highly desirable comic book production art. A must for any collector!
This item was previously on public display at the popular 'Sci-fi and Action Exhibition' at Moyse's Hall Museum.
Comes with own Certificate of Authenticity.
