Famously, he replaced the extended low-impact action-sequences that were so endemic in traditional Hong Kong cinema with rapid takedowns and knock-outs, superlative weapons skills and dynamic posing. He was a true innovator and visionary, and his exquisite work continues to inspire and excite even today.
