Rocky 3, 1983

This headgear was worn by Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) in a neck-snapping practice match, as he trains to face arch-nemesis, Clubber Lang, played by fan-favourite, Mr T. Rocky 3 is highly regarded as one of the highlights of the franchise and culminates in a superbly choreographed three-round boxing showcase.

The headgear is constructed to industry standards from yellow and white leather and is authentic to the period of production. It has been personally autographed and inscribed by Sylvester Stallone, as follows: ‘From Rocky 3...Best of Life, Sylvester Stallone, ‘82’.

The piece was originally donated to a Los Angeles school fundraiser auction by the Stallone family shortly after the movie’s U.S. release on May 28th, 1982. The item remains in excellent condition.
