In Casino Royale (2006), during the thrilling freerunning sequence, there is a standout moment where Bond corners the super-agile villain, Mollaka - played by the incomparable Sébastien Foucan, founder of freerunning - whilst both men are balancing, two hundred feet off the ground,  on the horizontal beam of a construction crane. Mollaka attempts to escape by throwing his gun at Bond - in the hope that the superspy will fall to his death. In an impressive display of agility and quick reflexes, Bond catches the weapon, mid-air, with one hand, while maintaining his balance and focus. This highly collectable storyboard details this wonderful sequence.

This moment is significant as it highlights not only Bond's physicality and sharp instincts but also his ability to stay in control during high-pressure situations. The sequence is a showcase of the film's more grounded and action-oriented approach, blending intense parkour stunts with moments of pure Bond coolness. It’s one of many small but memorable details that helped redefine Bond as a more human, athletic, and reactive character in this classic and much-loved reboot.
