This historic photo was taken during filming of The Seven Year Itch in 1954, and features Marilyn peering out of the window of a New York City townhouse - a location for the ending of movie. It is a silver gelatin print on double-weight fibre paper, which was produced, under the guidance and approval of Barris, by One West Publishing. The print is editioned 24/50 on verso, signed by George Barris in the image on the bottom right hand corner and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from OneWest Publishing.
Barris first met Marilyn in 1954 on the set of The Seven Year Itch, and the two become firm friends. This photo, originally shot in the summer of 1954, provides a wonderful candid look behind-the-scenes of one of Marilyn's best and most loved films.
George Barris was born on June 14th, 1922, in Manhattan, New York City. When his brother bought him a box camera for his 6th birthday, he began a lifelong love affair with photography. He has captured unforgettable images of icons like Steve McQueen, Charlie Chaplin, Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, John Wayne, Clark Gable and Elizabeth Taylor.

During this exact photoshoot at the townhouse window location for 'The Seven Year Itch', Marilyn caught George Barris discretely taking photos of her famous derrière. She reportedly smiled playfully and said: "I'll take a dozen of those". Barris cracked up and so began his close friendship with Marilyn Monroe.
