A beautiful UK Quad Poster, in the classic Bond style, for Octopussy (1983) - Roger Moore's sixth adventure as James Bond, 007, the world-famous secret agent with a licence to kill.
Co-starring Maud Adams, Louis Jourdan, Steven Berkoff, Kristina Wayborn and Kebir Bedi, the movie is set in India and Germany and showcases one of the greatest pre-credit sequences in Bond movie history, which is rivalled only by the iconc openers from 'The Spy Who Loved Me' and 'Skyfall'.
Famously, Octopussy was released in direct competition with 'Never Say Never Again', Sean Connery's much anticipated reprisal as James Bond in a modern remake of 'Thunderball' (1965). Directed by Irvin Kershner (The Empire Strikes Back) and co-starring Kim Basinger, Barbara Carrera, Klaus Maria Brandauer and Edward Fox, 'Never Say Never Again' gave Octopussy, an official EON production, a run for its money at the box-office in a hotly fought contest the media dubbed, "The Battle of the Bonds". Ultimately, however, 'Octopussy' scored a victory for Cubby Broccoli and his team!
Renato Casaro and Daniel Goozee illustrated this exemplary linen-backed Country of Origin (UK) Quad film poster. Its deep, rich colours and detailed artwork make for one of the best-looking posters of Moore's era.
Conservation linen-backed with border and fold line restoration. Displays to great effect.
