    Product Description

    This beautiful black and white gelatin silver print of Marilyn laying in the sand, wrapped up in a woollen sweater, belonged to photographer, George Barris. It measures 9 5/8 x 7 5/8 inches (24.45 x 19.37cm) and features the artist's signature in ink recto. This highly collectable photo features Barris's copyright credit stamp verso, along with his personal address in France and the message 'Photo on loan for one use only and must be returned'.

    Barris first met Marilyn in 1954 on the set of 'The Seven Year Itch', and they two become firm friends. This photo, originally shot on July 13th, 1962, was part of Marilyn's last photo assignment before her tragic and premature death on August 5th, 1962.
